SOME TIPS TO TEACHERS OF HIGHER EDUCATION AS FOR NON-PHILOLOGICAL STUDENTS GRAMMATICAL COMPETENCY FORMATION (CASE STUDY OF MODAL VERBS)

چکیده

An important aspect of training students a non-philological specialty is the formation foreign language communicative competence. Successful development latter impossible without all its basic components, one which grammatical competency as knowledge elements and ability to use them in communication, on hand, connections patterns established between phenomena concepts they express, other hand.The article highlights eight tips for teachers improvement specialties topic “Modal verbs” classes subject “Foreign (English)”. The main focus step-by-step recommendations teaching modal verbs speech units expressing speaker’s subjective attitude what he saying.The following are outlined: analysis theoretical practical content textbook, according Verbs” taught; establishing feedback through involvement clarifying essence modality general; introduction material definition dominant verbs, semi-modal denoting modality; illustration easiest way study verbs; outlining typical mistakes that often make while studying this (here teacher also illustrates key features verbs); comparison means Ukrainian English with an emphasis different shades expression duty or obligation; differentiation low high focusing triad – verb, tense time reference.
